A YORK store is undergoing a £500,000 refurbishment, which will create seven new jobs in the city.
The MFI store in Foss Islands Road, York, is to be the subject of a major refurbishment. The new-look 22,500sq ft store, which will feature MFI's latest ranges, including new collections from The Bath Co and upholstery from Sofa Workshop, is set to open on July 29.
In preparation for the reopening, MFI will be recruiting seven extra workers, taking the number of staff at the store to 22. Until then there will be a temporary showroom in the car park to serve customers. MFI York will also offer a new home measurement service.
Sales manager Adrian Douglas said: "We are really looking forward to moving into our new look store. This is an opportunity to surprise those who have preconceptions about MFI's 'flatpack' image and also educate customers that MFI now has furnishing solutions for every room."
