A RYEDALE nursery has taken the next step into the modern age by introducing computers into the classroom for two-and-a-half to five-year-olds.
The Wombleton school, Alpha Montessori, was recently commended by the schools standards authority OFSTED for the "welcoming" atmosphere provided which focuses upon creating an interactive learning environment.
The latest move by the school is in response to this report and seeks to extend the independence of the children at the nursery.
Anne Twine, one of two directors at the school, said: "We want the children to explore the world and how different people live."
While Alpha Montessori is a private nursery, its 20 places are part funded by the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership for North Yorkshire.
