A REVOLUTIONARY labelling system which utilises waste elimination has been launched to the food and drink sector by a Yorkshire company - thanks to a Business Link grant.
Catchpoint, a process launched by a Linton-based company of the same name, does not require backing paper for labels and cuts waste paper by more than 90 per cent.
The Catchpoint label was developed after Business Link Innovation and Technology advisor Roger Benson helped Catchpoint secure a £89,000 research and development grant.
Henry Stone, managing director of Catchpoint, said: "We could not have achieved the grant without Roger's guidance. He has a very good mindset for concepts and how you can apply a new type of process like Catchpoint. He understands what our invention is all about and recognised instantly the opportunities available for Catchpoint."
