CAVE paintings and electronic story books will be the focus of a York firm's latest projects.
York-based firm Mindwave, the multimedia division of The Continuum Group, has been appointed to develop a cave art website for the 12,000 year-old carvings recently discovered at the Creswell Crags Ice Age site in Derbyshire. The website will help raise awareness for the ancient art at a time when the Creswell Crags Heritage Trust has applied for funding to allow them to open the cave to visitors.
The company has also been asked to produce a computer based e-story book for the McLellan Galleries by Glasgow Museums. The electronic story book will refer to objects and artwork within the museum's collections in a way which will appeal to young children and families.
Jeff Maytom, creative director of The Continuum Group, said: "We're delighted to have won these specialist projects for such interesting yet diverse attractions."
