Dringhouses kept up the pressure on the division six leaders when they took 27 points from their home encounter with Cawood.
Home bowlers Brendon Walsh (5-86) and Dave Storr (3-47) held the upper hand in the first innings as N Shefta made 58 in Cawood's 147-8. After the break Andy Page made 26 and John Futter 40 to generate a four wicket win despite Carl Blundell's 3-32.
It was a doubly disappointing day for Rowntree. Firstly they suffered the disappointment of not having a game when New Earswick's inability to raise a side caused a cancellation.
Then they saw their 24 point reward reduced to nine points when the rule relating to the number of games being completed in the division came into play for the first time in some 20 years.
Leaders Selby managed to get their innings completed at home to Stillington, whose reply was ended by rain when they had scored two runs without loss.
Richard Firth was top scorer for Selby with an unbeaten 64 in a total of 143-7. Mick Whitwell had 3-18 for the visitors.
Play did not start at Wilberfoss until 3.50pm and lasted only 18 minutes, during which time Hemingbrough had moved to 27-0.
There was no play at Londesbrough Park, where Civil Service were the scheduled opponents.
