FIJIAN flyer Rob Kama is all set to turn back the clock and press turbo boost in aid of charity.
The Rugby Football League, in association with Powergen, is holding a one-off event to find the fastest player in British rugby league, all in aid of Sport Relief.
And the Knights' entry into the 100 metres contest, which will take place on Wednesday at the Robin Park Arena in Wigan, is their South Sea Island speedster.
The 27-year-old was a competitive sprinter in his high schooldays back home in Fiji, where he clocked his personal best time over 100m of 10.35 seconds - which is pretty pacy in anybody's book.
However, that was eight years ago and was held on a proper track, whereas Wednesday's race will be over a grass pitch and all participants will be clad in their club's full rugby kit, boots and the official Sport Relief red sock. They also have to carry a rugby ball over the full distance.
"I don't know how I'll do," said Kama. "I'm looking forward to it, though. It will be a fun event and it's for a good cause.
"If I get into the final I will be happy. That would be good enough for me."
He added: "I used to sprint back in Fiji but that was about it and I don't know what my time would be these days. And this event will be over grass with boots on."
Kama's sprinting days not only brought him that impressive 10.35secs pb but also afforded him a notable scalp. He became the under-19s schools champion in Fiji and in doing so beat a 100m specialist who went on to represent their country in the Olympics.
"That was my claim to fame," added Kama, who will come up against some major pacesetters in Super League on Wednesday.
They include Leeds Rhinos' winger Mark Calderwood, St Helens flyer Darren Albert, Wakefield's Justin Ryder and Wigan Warriors' turbo-charged Brett Dallas.
The event is open to the public and all proceeds raised on the door will be donated to Sport Relief 2004. The Powergen Skills Zone and Powergen Kick For Goal inflatables will be there at Robin Park to help raise additional funds and a charity raffle to win signed rugby league merchandise will also take place.
