Mike Usherwood's unhealthy obsession with the behaviour of cyclists continues unabated (Letters, June 23). Has he considered seeking professional help?
So, he counted 14 moving traffic offences being committed by cyclists.
Next time he should try counting the offences committed by his fellow motorists. I suspect it will take him less than half an hour to run out of fingers and toes on which to count.
While I agree with him that riding on the pavement is illegal and stupid, there is no legal requirement to use cycle lanes. Given most of the "facilities" in York are a waste of space, this is probably just as well. I am more amazed by the fact that Mike the Motorist used public transport. Did it hurt?
Dr Simon Ward,
Barons Crescent, York.
