LAND ROVERS are the name of the game for a new York business.
When Paul Finney moved to York from Chesterfield he was looking for a new challenge. He found one - selling parts and accessories to the area's Land Rover owners.
York Landrover Services Ltd was formed at the start of this month and is based on the Fulford Industrial Estate.
It trades under the name YLS (York Landrover Spares).
With over 20 years in the motor trade and an interest in Land Rovers, Paul, 44, hopes his business will be a hit.
"When I moved to York, I realised there wasn't anyone doing this type of thing in the area. "I didn't want to work for anybody as I had tried that and I didn't like it," he said.
The company offers a wide range of parts and accessories at lower prices than many dealers. Anything he doesn't have in stock he will order in.
Once the business gets established, he hopes to expand into repairing and servicing Land Rovers.
The business has snapped up premises at a new business park, which is to be built off the A19 at Crockey Hill.
Paul, who regularly competes in Associated Rover Club off-road cross trials in his specialised trials Land Rover, aims to build the business with a personal, friendly approach and reliable service.
