I AGREE 100 per cent with Jason Rayner (Letters, June 18). Fines should be imposed on people who throw food to the wretched sky rats (pigeons) and there should be notices displayed at strategic points deterring people from doing so.
I've never seen anyone nearly break their arms, legs or neck over cigarette ends, but I can't say the same about greasy chips and other food particles thrown to these vermin.
Quite often, the droppings left on the seats in Parliament Street are atrocious.
It's time there was a total cull in the town centre.
