COUNCIL leader Steve Galloway promises Badger Hill residents that their estate will not become a student "ghetto" protected by planning guidelines (June 18).
I'm afraid not. The guidelines encourage so called "family units" of six or more residents living together, (Planning officer letter to Hugh Bayley MP, November 7 2003).
I wrote following this letter to the Evening press in November. The silence from councillors was deafening. Mr D Hay asked a number of questions (Letters, June 18) about policy.
I can but wonder if our representatives have any answers.
Peter Brown in his letter raised the point what has happened to the council since 1995?
I agree with Peter, and ask, is the money they now get hush money? The policy: ignore it, it may go away.
