Clifton FC have been booted out of the York FA Sunday Afternoon League Cup for the next two seasons.
The ban, coupled with a hefty fine, has been imposed by football chiefs after police were called to last season's final against St John's College after fighting broke out between rival supporters at York RI's New Lane ground.
The incident was referred to the North Riding County FA and they charged Clifton with misconduct by club officials, players and spectators.
After finding the club guilty, the NRFA fined Clifton £400 - £100 of which is suspended until the end of next season.
The matter was also dealt with by the York and District FA who suspended Clifton from the York FA Sunday Afternoon League Cup for the next two years. They also imposed a £40 fine.
Trouble flared at the match played in May after two Clifton players were sent off in the second half of extra-time by referee Mike Tyas, who received praise from the local FA for his actions.
Police were called to restore order and they remained on the touchline for the rest of the game which the students won 3-2 on penalties after the tie finished 1-1 after extra time.
