I FEEL very privileged to tell you about what happened to me and my family on Friday tea-time. I was taking my 79-year-old mother back home with my three young boys along the A1079 to York.
Unfortunately I had a puncture in my Ford Galaxy. Panic set in as I saw the traffic quickly build up. The tyre was also road-side-out.
I rang my husband but I knew he would be at least half an hour. I set about trying to change the tyre myself. However, my panic didn't last long as three men came running up to help me. I honestly felt that I was in the company of angels. Within minutes my tyre was changed and I was able to move to unblock the traffic jam I had caused.
All I know is that they were on their way to Askham Bryan to help a sister move house. They wouldn't take any drink money and said they were always helping others. I feel deeply grateful and I hope they will read this and recognise themselves.
I believe if you look for goodness it will find you and it proved itself in my family's rescue.
