Tim Easterby and Willie Supple, who joined forces to land last Saturday's Group 1 Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot with Fayr Jag, team up again at Thirsk tomorrow.
The trainer-jockey combination will be represented by Roman Mistress, who goes for the Jack Calvert Handicap, a five-furlongs event named in honour of the late Hambleton trainer.
Roman Mistress has yet to get her head in front this season, but she has run well in defeat lately, her most recent performance being a third-placed effort at Doncaster.
Overdue a winning turn, Roman Mistress is fancied to get her head in front this time.
Commando Scott gets the vote in the Skelton Handicap over seven furlongs.
Alan Berry's gelding chased home Kingsmaite at Redcar last week over six furlongs. Tomorrow's extra distance should suit the three-year-old, who was a winner on this course in April.
Several of the jockeys riding at Thirsk will be involved in a double-header with Newcastle, who are also racing tomorrow afternoon, at Gosforth Park, just an hour's drive north. Some riders will even be tackling a triple-stint by going on to the evening meeting at Hamilton.
The feature race at Newcastle is the TSG Seaton Delaval Trophy Handicap, a competitive event with £30,000 up for grabs.
Preference here is for the in-form Ulysees, who underlined his well-being when scoring over six furlongs at Ayr last week.
Also a previous winner over tomorrow's extra furlong, Ulysees, trained by Ian Semple, will again be partnered by smart apprentice Tom Eaves.
The £15,000 TSG IBM Handicap over two miles looks a good opportunity for nap selection Considine to continue his rich vein of form.
The James Eustace-trained three-year-old has won two of his last three starts, his latest victory coming with an an all-the-way win at Yarmouth.
Although Considine has not yet raced beyond one and three-quarter miles, tomorrow's distance should hold no fears for him and he is fancied to give Seb Sanders a good ride.
Eton, a winner at York recently, can oblige again in the TSG Pegasus Claiming Stakes.
David Nicholls' eight-year-old will again have the assistance of Alex Greaves, who was seen to such good effect on him on Knavesmire.
Also worth noting at Newcastle, on the first leg of the three-day Northumberland Plate meeting, are Richard Fahey's speedy Shamrock Tea (2-50) and Tim Easterby's Go Tech (4-50), who showed he was coming back to form at Ripon recently.
Tomorrow's tips:
Thirsk
2-30 Dara Mac, 3-00 Imperial Dynasty, 3-30 Roman Mistress, 4-00 Westcourt Dream, 4-30 Flash Ram, 5-00 Commando Scott.
Newcastle
2-20 Heybrook Boy; 2-50 Shamrock Tea; 3-20 Ulysees; 3-50 Considine (NAP); 4-20 Eton; 4-50 Go Tech.
Tomorrow's other meetings are at Hamilton (evening, Flat), Leicester (evening, Flat) and Salisbury (afternoon, Flat).
