STAFF at a North Yorkshire electronics company are celebrating their new skills.
Workers at Knaresborough-based GSPK Electronics have achieved NVQ qualifications in electronics manufacturing processes.
The firm decided to increase the skill level of its workforce to increase employees' self-esteem and confidence, as well as improve the service they offer to customers.
GSPK is currently undergoing an expansion programme to meet the increasing demand faced by the industry.
As well as investing in its employees, it has spent money on new machinery and manufacturing techniques.
Angela Simkins, manufacturing director of GSPK Electronics Ltd, said: "We realise that our people are our greatest asset which is why our philosophy is to keep on investing in both existing and new employees.
"We are inspired by the dedication and hard work our employees put into achieving their NVQ qualifications, and we are proud that they choose to be members of our team.
"Skilled and experienced people are invaluable and consequently very difficult to find."
