THANK you for printing ex Councillor Galvin's letter twice, giving us all a second chance to read his allegations about the Lib Dems in York having no vision (June 17).
This only a day after we launched the EcoDepot, which you reported and which demonstrates that, unlike the previous administration, we are not only full of vision and ideas for the city, we are committed to making them happen.
Talking about vision or a lack of it is cheap. Delivering is the real challenge. Unlike the Labour administration, which Mr Galvin and his Conservative group of three worked tirelessly to keep in power, we are committed to transforming York into a vibrant, forward-looking city.
The residents of York gave Mr Galvin his chance some years ago and what do we have to show for it?
He is right on one thing, however - we do need vision to tackle global warming, improving public transport, reducing our dependency on cars and so on. Over the coming months your council will be launching more initiatives to do just that.
Coun Keith Hyman,
The Old Village,
Huntington, York.
