Elite referee Steve Presley will referee at the York International 9s, which takes place at Heworth Rugby League Club this coming weekend.
Presley has been recruited to take charge of the key games in the York-based tournament, which draws semi-professional teams from around Europe, together with teams from across the British Isles. Presley has a long and distinguished career as a match official. The Castleford-based milkman recently retired from officiating in top-flight games in the Tetley Super League and now officiates in games in the LHF Healthplan National League, while also acting as a match commissioner in high-profile fixtures. Said tournament director Stefan Hopewell: "The appointment of Steve Presley is a reflection of the growing status of the tournament."
