Bolton Percy skipper Howard Hall gained a handsome hat-trick in his 6-34 at Wilberfoss.
But despite his efforts, the home side earned a draw in division three at 131-8 with Phil Stothard 37 and Geoff Room 35 frustrating the Bolton attack.
Bolton had made 164-5 through Nick Lister 40no and Ali Ripley 35 and the draw keeps them 48 points ahead of second-placed Clifton Alliance who moved above Wilberfoss after defeating Stillington.
The game at Clifton Alliance saw both sides being bowled out but the home team's 127 comfortably bettered their rivals' 54 all out.
Clifton's John Myers, who made 43, was the only batsman in the game to figure prominently as Rob Coultas 3-12 and Matt Coulson 3-40 did their duty for Stillington but were then outgunned by Alex Renton who took 4-13 and Myers whose 4-11 capped a top display.
Acomb's promotion drive faltered when they were on the receiving end of Yapham's first win of the season in a low scoring game. Paul Hughes made 27 and Neil Hinde 30 for Acomb but John Flint presented problems with 6-41 as Acomb struggled to 87-7.
Yapham's innings was uneventful but effective as they recorded 89-6.
However, Yapham have suffered a nine-point deduction for failing to comply with the rule relating to cancellation of matches on the first day of the season. The penalty will be reflected in next week's league tables.
