THE past came alive in a memorabilia shop which celebrated the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Staff at Past Times, in Castlegate, York, dressed in 1950s costumes and offered old-fashioned prices as they knocked ten per cent off everything that was bought. Customers were also given a free special Jubilee CD.
The shop is stocking products marking Queen Elizabeth's 50 years as Britain's monarch.
Past Times worker Katy Broadbent said: "I think a lot of the customers had no idea what was going on when they first came into the shop, but it all went very well and everybody enjoyed it."
