THE best disabled snooker players in Britain duel for UK glory at the Barbican Centre on Wednesday morning.
The four who featured in the finals of the Disability Sport England (DSE) Snooker Championship will give a repeat performance of those finals.
The DSE group two (wheelchair) final was won by Guisborough's Gary Nicholson, who beat Glasgow's Matt Duffy 2-1 to end the Scot's run of ten successive finals.
In the group four (ambulant) final, Liverpool's Tony Southern won the title for the 14th time with a 2-0 defeat of Tommy Turner.
The disabled action at the Barbican starts at 10am and entry to spectators is free.
"It's wonderful to play on tables and in an arena that most people only see on television," Nicholson said as he looked forward to his York challenge.
"We have a good opportunity to promote snooker and to make others aware that being in a wheelchair shouldn't stop you competing at your chosen sport whatever the level.
