Surprisingly The Long Road Back is actually Andre's fourth studio album. Andre and his creative team have pulled out all the stops to make this shiny, glossy pop product. Andre obviously understands this is his one last chance to become a mainstream pop star and is doing his very best. The Long Way Back is easy listening, and the arrangements are lush. But Peter Andre is not in the same league as Justin Timberlake and his limited girlie voice holds little for slightly older listeners. Andre co-wrote half the tracks, including the annoying Insania, and the cod reggae Mysterious Girl, included twice here for our sins. Most interest is the cover of Kool & The Gang's Ooh La La La (Let's Go Dancing). Elder Reggae Statesman Jimmy Cliff has released his own cover simultaneously. Who will get the hit? The pretty one or a true musical talent?
