Young footballers can take advantage of a series of summer coaching courses at York College.
Players aged between six and 14 are being given the chance to brush up on their skills and maybe go one step closer to honing their future Zinedine Zidane or Wayne Rooney talents.
York College coaching staff will help the youngsters improve their techniques and let them put them into practice in small-sided games in a safe and friendly environment.
The four one-week courses, which are open to both boys and girls, will also include a trip to a major professional club from Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool or Sunderland, depending on the week of the course.
The course dates are July 19 to 23, July 26 to 30, August 9 to 13 and August 16 to 20.
Bookings are being taken now. For further details, email gstaniforth@yorkcollege.ac.uk or call 01904 770400.
Meanwhile, York and District FA will be running their Football Fun week at York RI FC again this summer.
It will take place from August 2 to August 5 and is open to boys and girls aged between six and 12.
Each day will begin at 10am and end at 3pm and the cost per child is £20. Children will need to bring their football kit and a packed lunch.
Places are limited and applications should be made to Roy Ellwood at 5 Hazelgarth, Stockton Lane, York, YO31 1HR, telephone number 01904 424956. Cheques are payable to York and District FA.
