THE 56-peg final round of the Spring League at the Willows saw the consistent Dave Pollitt take the title with a score of 69 points, helped by fourth place on the day.
Tony Hewson jumped from sixth to second thanks to his second-placed catch to nudge out Leeds youngster Joe Carrass, who had a poor draw when he needed it least.
Tadcaster's Graham Boardley (Bob.Co), won on the day with a superb all carp net of 83lb 6oz.
Drawn peg 34 on Goldrush he offered cat meat at full depth in open water and caught fish to 5lb from whistle to whistle.
Tony Hewson (Leeds Angling Centre) was on peg 52 on the same lake and caught most of his 67lb 6oz carp net late on as he got the fish coming shallow to pellets. Keith Gray (Willows) took third with a cracking silver fish net of 57lb 3oz taken on chopped worm and caster from peg 45.

The Sunday open on Bethany's Lake at Langwith Lakes, Heslington went to Tony Beckett from peg 16.
Offering pellet tight to the island he netted a mixture of carp and tench for his 52lb 14oz winning net. Other leading weights were taken by Mal Smithson with 36lb 1oz from peg six, Les Wood with 34lb and Dave Bocking on 29lb 12oz.
Good sport was to be had at Carpvale on Sunday where the club match on the front pond was won with a fine 75lb net of carp from peg 70.
The winner was Trevor Bucknall who had carp to 5lb fishing a bomb and corn between the islands.
On the match lake the Eden open went to Geoff Wilmore with a 60lb 2oz bag from peg 29. Fishing pole and worm over chopped worm he netted carp to 6lb plus a brace of big bream. Best of the supporting cast were Rob Eden with 27lb 6oz and Danny Scott with 26lb 12oz.
Pegs on Partridge dominated Saturday's 71-peg sell-out open at Woodlands with Phil Sellars (Elton Tackle) winning the battle of the 'paste heads'.
With all the major exponents of the paste art drawn together on Partridge, Sellars brushed them aside doubling the next best weight. His 83lb included carp to 4lb and was taken using his special paste mix at 11 metres.
Gordon Poole (MAP Elton) took second from peg 16 on the same lake where he fished meat on the bottom at 16 metres for 79lb 9oz of carp, tench and skimmers. Meat also scored for John Chapman (MAP Elton) who was on Partridge 11 where he alternated long pole and bomb for a mixed bag of 61lb 7oz
