Crucial development work at Pickering Town Football Club's ground will start soon, following funds having been boosted by a Football Foundation grant and a sponsored walk.
More than 30 members of the club from the junior, senior and girls' sections completed a walk from Raper's Farm in Cropton Forest through Newtondale.
The event was organised by Malcolm Short and the associated money is expected to add £1,400 to the Ground Development Fund.
Extensive work at Pickering's ground, including concreting between the turnstiles and main stand, will start in the near future.
The Pikes were denied a promotion place to the UniBond League this season because the ground was not deemed to be up to scratch.
The club's annual meeting takes place on Friday, July 2 at the recreation club, Mill Lane, Pickering, starting at 8pm.
