HOW sad, that in this special anniversary year of D-Day, the council have decided to give priority to snooker over the Remembrance Service at the Barbican.
"It's Tommy this and Tommy that
And keep your daughters from the brute
But it's hero of his country
When the guns begin to shoot."
Now these particular guns are silent, but what a legacy they left behind in Europe and Asia. Not a snooker cue in sight, just thousands and thousands of well-kept graves.
Shame on you council.
We shall not forget them.
