I AGREE with the Evening Press report that Chris Langley was York City Knights' man of the match in Sunday's win at Halifax. He had a superb game full of grit and determination.

As so rightly reported, there were many who qualified, but he had the decisive edge.

However, I note that in the last few games one of our unsung heroes has been marked down a little when I believe his overall performance has been better than some of our other wonderful players. The man I refer to is Richard Wilson.

He has been consistent in his performances, not spectacular, but he is a willing runner who always makes yards -- it would be a bonus to see him break through more tackles -- and some of his man-on-man tackling is awesome, much bigger men than himself are stopped dead in their tracks. He is probably doing everything that Richard Agar asks of him.

I was really pleased to see the very positive remarks made about the supporters, who were absolutely brilliant.

It really is pleasing to see more and more of the "I have supported them for donkey's years" brigade coming on board and providing our wonderful team with the vocal support that they deserve.

So well done to the silent majority who have crossed over and joined the vocal supporters. The game can only get better with your support. You will definitely be required for the semi-final against Hull KR - let's beat them on the terraces and on the field.
