CAPTAIN marvel Neil Atkinson was the hero for Kelfield with an undefeated match-winning century in the HPH York Vale league division two derby at home to Stillingfleet.
The run-laden clash saw Stillingfleet thrash 230-5, the once retired Andy Atkinson taking 3-76 while Dave Rowsby (78) and Chris Walker (55no) did most damage with the bat.
Kelfield then slumped to 23-4 before Atkinson entered the fray, with his brilliant knock of 125no including the winning six from the last ball of a 463 run-fest.
Undefeated division two top dogs Burn had a 37-run win over Wheldrake.
Despite a 52-run opening stand Between Andy Watson (20) and Andy Huetson (39), reliable Wheldrake duo Carl Van Neikirk (4-66) and Les Fearn (5-49) reduced Burn to 147 all out. The economical Dave Queenan then bowled 3-8 in ten overs to oust Wheldrake's batsmen, Dave Kimberly being the only thorn in Burn's side with 36.
Second-placed Copmanthorpe saw John Hughes bat throughout for 84no against Thixendale and then aid his son Darren (4-52) with figures of 3-39 in Cop's 23-run win.
Burton Salmon's top order all scored runs against Ben Johnson, yet a total of 159-4 was savaged by James Agnew with 81no and Martyn Reynolds' 77no to give BJ a nine-wicket win with 12 overs left.
Hirst United hit 154-9 at winless Ovington, Stuart Bennett top-scoring with 37. Dave Howsam and Lawrence Stones shared six wickets in tumbling Ovington out for 111.
