A COUPLE of months ago you featured me preparing for the London Marathon.
I ran for CLIMB - Children Living with Inherited MetaBolic diseases. They gave me a target of £1,200. I had to think carefully about whether I could raise that amount.
I completed the run (it was horrible and cold and wet) in April and I have far exceeded my target, my latest figure being more than £1,800.
I have been staggered by the incredible kindness and generosity of people. Can I please pass on my thanks to the staff and pupils of Burnholme Community College where I teach, members of St Luke's Church, Burton Stone Lane, my guitar evening class, Yearsley Bridge Day Centre, Copper Clay residential home, the Pupil Referral Unit and family and friends.
My faith in human nature has been confirmed.
Martin Morse,
Burnholme Community College, York.
