Newmarket jockey Darryll Holland heads to Beverley tomorrow and then further north to Hamilton's evening fixture in a bid to keep tabs on Kieren Fallon in the race for the jockeys' championship.
Fallon, who bruised his right leg when unseated by his mount going on to the course for the final race at Pontefract last night, is beginning to build up a lead on Holland in the title race.
Holland, though, is giving it his best shot, and he should be rewarded at both his meetings tomorrow, starting at Beverley on Sporting Options day.
Prenup, trained by Luca Cumani, gives Holland a fine chance of collecting the mile and a half handicap.
The three-year-old got off the mark in nice style at Brighton 12 days ago when beating Wee Dinns by a neck after the pair had drawn four lengths clear of the remainder of the field.
Prenup is open to further improvement, especially over tomorrow's two-furlong longer trip, and is napped to follow-up.
Maxilla, another Holland mount for the Cumani stable, should not be overlooked in the ten furlong handicap.
Although well beaten at Windsor last time, the four-year-old raced alone up the stands side of the course, which placed him at a disadvantage. I expected him to do better tomorrow.
The promising Awesome Love, trained by Mark Johnston, gives Holland another winning opportunity at Beverley in the maiden race before he flies up to Scotland.
Once again Luca Cumani provides the jockey with live ammuntion at Hamilton, in the shape of recent winner Zeitgeist, who looks capable of defying a 6lb penalty in the Sky Bet Handicap over a mile and a half.
Holland, whose mounts are likely to feature strongly in punters' combination bets, can further trouble the judge aboard Stylish Sunrise (8.50) and Currency (9.20) on what promises to be a lucrative day for the busy jockey.
Carol Williams, based at Middleham, is one of the most sought-after lady amateur riders' in the country and she has been snapped-up to ride College Maid (6.50) at Hamilton. A fast-finishing runner-up at Doncaster last Saturday, College Maid can go one better in this modest event.
Back at Beverley, a note should be made of We'll Meet Again in the Sportingoptions Commissions Cutters Handicap over an extended seven furlongs.
Mick Easterby's four-year-old was beaten less than three lengths into third place by Zawrak on his recent reappearance at Carlisle, his first outing for seven months.
Entitled to come on for that outing, We'll Meet Again can come up trumps here in the hands of Paul Mulrennan, Easterby's talented apprentice, who is enjoying an excellent season.
