Dale Gibson may be one of the most level-headed jockeys around, but he is hoping to be on a succesful Ego Trip at Redcar tomorrow.

Gibson, based at Boston Spa, is enjoying one of the best seasons he's had for many a year and teams-up with Ego Trip, trained by Mick Easterby, in the Salamanzar Handicap over a mile and a quarter.

The three-year-old, owned and bred by Elvington enthusiasts Ken and Judith Hodgson, came good at Newcastle last time when storming home over the straight mile in a style which suggests tomorrow's longer trip will suit him even better.

A son of Catherines Well, a prolific winner herself as well being a prolific producer of winners, Ego Trip has what it takes to carry Gibson to another victory tomorrow and is awarded my Nap vote.

Mary Reveley saddles two eunners, Lord Lamb and Spitting Image, the Half Bottle Claiming Stakes and I prefer the latter.

The four-year-old has been running respectably of late and will have the assistance of Tony Culhane. Lord Lamb makes his seasonal reapparance under Kevin Darley and is now at the veteran age of 12.

Beautiful Mover can live up to her name by winning the Methuselah Maiden Stakes.

John Hills' filly made a bright start to her career at Newmarket last month when failing by only a short head to make a winning debut.

The promise of that performance can be fulfilled here, with Richard Hills, the trainer's brother, again taking the mount.

Summer Shades has strong claims in the Anderson Barrowcliff Fillies' Handicap.

Mark Brisbourne's mare looks to be running into form at the right time and is fancied to repeat her success of two years ago in this one mile event.

Dual Classic-winning hero Kieren Fallon, who is in action at Pontefract this evening, turns out at Salisbury tomorrow and can make his mark aboard Thurlestone Rock in the South West Racing Experience Handicap over six furlongs.

The four-year-old, sure to be all the better for his recent reapparance, was a winner overe this trip on his final start last season.

Fallon is, of course, on a high after his Derby win on North Lioght at Epsom on Saturday, a victory which came hard on the heels of his Oaks success on Ouija Board the previous day.

North Light's success, from Rule Of Law and Let The Lion Roar, was a wonderful advertisement for York's Dante Stakes. The 1-2-3 in the Derby had occupied identical positions on Knavesmire last month.
