HOOKER Jimmy Elston could require surgery to fix his knee problem - but he may only be missing for a few weeks.
The super sub, who has six tries off the bench this season, was left with suspected cartilage damage after twisting a knee in a pothole during last Sunday's defeat of Swinton Lions. But even though he will almost certainly miss out on the Arriva Trains Cup quarter-final at Halifax this weekend, Agar believes it will not rule him out long term.
Head coach Richard Agar said: "He's struggling with a knee problem and we are sending him to a specialist as soon as we can. He's extremely doubtful for this weekend but we will wait for the medical opinion for that.
"The first suspicion of our physio is that it's a cartilage thing and he may need surgery. It's not good, but if it can come at a time when it's not as bad, then this is it. He can shape his gym work and if it is a cartilage thing then it will only keep him out for two to three weeks."
Also doubtful is powerhouse prop Yusuf Sozi, who may be left out of the squad to rest a recurrent ankle problem.
Halifax have confirmed ticket prices for Sunday's game at The Shay.
They are: adults £12, OAPs £7, under-16s £3. Children under 16 who are accompanied by an adult will be allowed in for free on production of Voucher 'D' from the Knights' season ticket book.
These prices apply to both the seated and standing facilities.
As this is now the knockout stages of the competition, gate receipts will be divided between the two clubs.
