WHAT a wonderful job to have - the highways graffiti sprayer.
Once every few months he strolls along and spray-paints a white square round the potholes in your road. When that one has faded and the pothole has doubled in size he obligingly returns with an orange spray to brighten the place up a bit.
Several months later the pothole, along with all its burgeoning companions, gets a third lick of paint.
What fun, does he get to choose the colours?
And what do they mean? One square - leave till next year, two squares - repair when sprayed green, three squares - don't bother after all?
