DE Ford Insurance Brokers Limited has provided specialist insurance broking services nationwide for some 28 years.
Our own organisation is testament to the efforts of our founder, Ben Ford, and the company remains one of his lifetime achievements and one of which we at DE Ford Insurance Brokers are proud.
It was Ben's desire to provide a service that combined personal touches with the highest levels of technical knowledge that has enabled the company to grow to be the largest insurance broker in the area.
Recent years have seen fundamental changes to the way in which we provide assistance to our customers, including the formation of a specialist risk management division. The next few years will see even greater changes with greater regulation from London and the EU. We know at first-hand the substantial effort it takes to put one's efforts into achieving goals and at the same time being able to develop those around you, generating the impetus necessary to take a business forward.
The lifetime achievement award remains in its infancy, yet there are many that can be put forward in this category. The award looks to reward those who have spent their lifetime turning obstacles into opportunities providing guidance to others and who have the drive to see their goals achieved.
Last year's recipient, Professor Tony Robards of the University of York, is a shining example of a person who has brought the University of York and the city as a whole to the forefront.
We all know those to whom we wish to aspire, people who have the adaptability and strength of purpose to leave a lasting legacy. It is with this award that we can congratulate these individuals. We see this award as the most prestigious of the evening and we look forward to your nominations.
