AN elderly man is ill in hospital today after being involved in a collision with a car while cycling through York.
The crash happened shortly before 10am, on Saturday, in Huntington Road, near Wrays Avenue.
The car, a maroon Citroen Berlingo, belonged to Layerthorpe-based Alwyn Glover Plumbing and Heating Engineers.
Its driver was said to be unhurt in the crash.
The elderly cyclist was taken to York Hospital.
Witnesses are asked to phone York Police on 01904 669884.
