FIRST she wooed and won Sir Elton John. Now Fiona Sidwell has earned the attention of superstar singer Tom Jones.

Fiona, managing director of Exclusive Events, the York-based events solutions company, was today celebrating clinching a contract to provide the corporate hospitality for the Tom Jones concert at Castle Howard on Saturday, July 24.

It follows hot on the heels of a similar contract for Sir Elton John's Hop Farm concert in Kent on Sunday, June 20.

That Sir Elton deal was worth £200,000, and while the exact financial detail of the Tom Jones hospitality contract has not yet been finalised, there is speculation that it could be worth about £100,000.

The Tom Jones concert is being held in association with Musical Associates UK Ltd, ClearChannel and the Evening Press. Musical Associates UK Ltd, based in Tring, offered Exclusive Events the Tom Jones task after working with her on the Elton John project.

"It snowballed from there," said Fiona. "I'm absolutely thrilled. We promise a fantastic evening, with the stunning Castle Howard as a backdrop, and a firework finale.

"For many people this will be one of the most exciting events of their summer in Yorkshire. Tom Jones has been a true star for the past 40 years and his concerts are legendary. Our role is to ensure that our guests have a memorable evening."

From her office at Clifton Moor she has been putting together the corporate hospitality package. The price of £125, will include a three-course dinner with wine, VIP parking, a pre-concert drinks reception in a special marquee and garden area, VIP seating close to the stage and a souvenir programme.

Tables will be for ten guests, but smaller groups will be catered for. She is also prepared to arrange travel and overnight accommodation.

Meanwhile, a third millionaire male celeb has invited Fiona to dinner. Virgin tycoon Richard Branson sent a formal invitation inviting her to dinner in London on June 9.

"It was completely out of the blue. I don't know what it's about," she said, but ventured that it may have had something to do with the fact that a business magazine recently voted her one of the top 42 under 42-year-old entrepreneurs in Yorkshire.
