MOST of the big Sixties hits are included, but students of the development of rock music should approach this 50-track compilation with caution.
The title Life Story is a wee bit misleading as regards to this being a true retrospective of the many facets of the UK's best-selling instrumental group of all time. The late 60s and the entire 70s are not represented at all.
Ventures using the name Marvin, Welch & Farrar, and the experimental phase represented on the albums Jumping With Curley Leads, Specs Appeal and Tasty haven't got a look in. However, the 80s are well represented but sadly were not the most creative period for Hank, Bruce and Brian (Bennett).
This collection is important for including the last ever studio track by the band: a 2004 recording of Jerry "Apache" Lordan's Life Story.
