YORK'S Dave Murray with 4-27 and John Sharpe (3-28) held Thorpe Willoughby's batsmen to 122-9 in division three. Sumit Mitra scored 50 as York ran outcomfortable four-wicket winners.
University of York Staff batted first against Heworth but only a 44 from Mark Dushieko gave the score any structure. Martin Boothroyd matched this score to send Heworth home victors by four wickets.
Clifton Alliance gained victory over Woodhouse Grange by 48 runs. A solid 48 from Alan Barton guided Clifton to 155-5 and Paul Thorpe (4-18) helped bowl out Grange for 107.
Wistow's top order all scored runs against Malton and Old Malton as they gained maximum batting points at 177-7. A tight response was submitted by Malton but Ian Jennings, with 7-69, just managed to keep Malton three runs adrift.
Paul Thornton's 76 was the only highlight of Askham Bryan YPO's 122-8. Brian Knight (47no) and John Pennistone (67no) then took 26 overs to score the necessary runs for a ten-wicket win.
