IN division two, a hard wicket produced the goods for Wheldrake paceman Carl Van Niekirk as his 5-35 shot Burton Salmon down to 105-8. Wheldrake then used half of their overs in winning by six wickets.
Stillingfleet struggled to contain Hirst United bowler Ken Winters' accuracy with his 6-19 seeing Fleet bowled out for 136. Dean Howsam's 57 saw Hirst home despite some keen bowling from Chris Walker (5-81).
An excellent spell of bowling from Copmanthorpe's Darren Hughes (5-10) saw Ovington collapse to 61 all out. Dave Purdy's 33no saw Copmanthorpe home by nine wickets.
In a high scoring affair at Kelfield, visitors Thixendale were put to the sword by Neil Atkinson. His 92 took Kelfield to 200-5. However Les Milburn (73) and Mike Walker (66) put on 142 for the first wicket, allowing Thixendale to progress to a six-wicket win with eight balls to spare.
Steve Wragg's 4-70 could not stop Burn reaching 152-8, but his team could only muster 104 in reply.
