Prize Ring can clinch hat-trick honours tomorrow evening at Wetherby, where a revised programme means the six races will be made up of five hurdles' events and a National Hunt Flat race.

The two steeplechases originally schedueled to take place have been scrapped, owing to the good-to-firm ground, and have been replaced by an extra novices' hurdle, plus the concluding bumper.

Prize Ring goes for the Vidal Sassoon Handicap Hurdle with excellent prospects of adding to his scoresheet.

Trained at Middleham by George Moore, the five-year-old has won his last two races, here and at Sedgefield, in the style of a horse at the top of his game.

A 7lb penalty for his latest success makes things a tad harder tomorrow for Prize Ring, but the gelding is fancied to oblige again under regular rider Barry Keniry.

The Rocom Novices' Hurdle looks a good opportunity for Sir Brastias to open his winning account.

Kim Bailey's five-year-old has finished second in each of his two starts to date and went down by only a length to Supreme Dawn at Exeter three weeks ago. He should make a bold bid to go one better.

John Mackie has his horses in good form and the Derbyshire trainer can land a double with the smart Station Island in the Benfield Ford Intermediate Hurdle and Tiger Frog, the mount of Tony Dobbin, in the Scholl Handicap Hurdle.

Dale Gibson, who lives at Boston Spa, would doubtless find Wetherby a handy local venue at which to ply his trade. Unfortunately, Gibson rides on the Flat, not over jumps, which means a much longer journey tomorrow - to Ayr's afternoon meeting.

The trip should prove worthwhile, however, as Gibson teams-up with Another Bottle, the nap selection, in the Arran Rating Related Maiden Stakes over nine furlongs.

Trained at Hazlewood near Tadcaster by Tom Tate, Another Bottle showed sure signs of ability in his three races last season and also on his reappearance at Doncaster in March when he finished eighth in a big field of handicappers. He should take all the beating in this run-of-the-mill event.

Michael Jarvis is enjoying a cracking season and the Newmarket trainer can hit the target again with recent winner Celtic Heroine in the EBF Crosshill Classified Stakes. Philip Robinson journeys north to take the mount.

The 17th June is Ladies Night Handicap over five furlongs offers Brigadore the chance to get back in the winning groove.

John Weymes' sprinter ran a fine race to finish third in a hot handicap at Thirsk last time. A previous winner over this course-and-distance, he should run a big race under accomplished apprentice Tony Hamilton.
