EAGER Copmanthorpe Beavers ran away with the honours in their section of the York and District Scouts and Guides Cross Country Championships.
The young scouts powered their way over the modified 800m course on Knavesmire to take both the junior and senior beaver team awards.
Copmanthorpe's three strong junior team came in first, third and seventh, while the first three in the seven-year-olds race finished third, fifth and 11th to secure the double trophy win.
Bishopthorpe Rainbows swept the board in their race with a 1-2-3 finish, and 68th York St James the Deacon Brownies took the team prize in the junior and intermediate sections.
Dringhouses Roman Cubs won the honours in the two cub sections, while 1st Clifton Sea Scouts and Dringhouses split the silverware in the scouts races.
York City Scout Fellowship organised the event which saw more than 170 tackling the Knavesmire course in its 20th year, with runners aged from five to adult competing in 14 races of varying distances.
