ROWNTREES ended a lengthy run without a victory which stretches back to 2002 when they emerged as six-wicket winners at Wilberfoss in division six.
Kev Davison was the only home batsman to make any impression as he scored 26 but Wilberfoss were wiped away for 97 by Neil Davidson who took 7-53 and Phil Walls' 3-38.
Skipper Steve Aldous then made 25 for Rowntrees who were steered to victory by Richard Barker who hit 23no.
Selby are moving along in fine style with their 32 point lead being the best of any division even though they were held to a draw by neighbours Hemingbrough.
Selby reached 215-6 through Phil Jolly 50, Kev Lund 42 and Tim Sherwood 44no. In reply, Mal Calvert made 42 and Ady Adamson 40no to take Hemingbrough to 172-8.
Stillington had a seven-wicket win at Londesbrough Park when Dennis North made 27, Peter Dalton 46 and Chris Borwell 49no to take them to a winning 167-3. Dick Salmon made 51 for the hosts while Dave Linton took 4-44 for the eventual winners.
