There is no doubt where the best racing is tomorrow - and no prizes for guessing that it's not in Britain.
While home-based punters are handed a staple diet of one low-profile Flat meeting and two even lower-profile jumping fixtures, over in Ireland, the Curragh stages a top-notch programme, highlighted by the Boylesports Irish 1,000 Guineas and the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup.
North Yorkshire will be strongly represented in the Classic with Attraction, trained at Middleham by Mark Johnston, bidding to complete the English-Irish 1,000 Guineas double.
The mount of Sheriff Hutton jockey Kevin Darley, who steered her to victory at Newmarket at the beginning of the month, Attraction, who has yet to taste defeat in six races, is strongly fancied to extend her sequence to a magnificent seven.
Her homework since her Newmarket triumph has been nothing short of impressive, according to connections, and there is every reason to believe that she could be even better now than she was then.
It would take a brave man to oppose Attraction. To complete the Guineas double would be a truly outstanding feat, not only for Attraction, but also for Johnston, Darley and the whole Middleham team at Kingsley House Stables.
Sulamani is selected to win the other big race on the Curragh. A top-class colt, he has done nothing but please the Godolphin team in his preparation for this comeback outing and although Frankie Dettori will be unable to ride, having incurred a hand injury at Goodwood this week, Kerrin McEvoy, Godolphin's new number-two jockey, will be an able replacement.
Back to the bread-and-butter stuff on home soil and York racegoers will be keen on the chances of Brecon Beacon at Brighton.
The two-year-old, trained by Paul Cole, made a winning debut on Knavesmire last week and looks a smart prospect. He can oblige again in the European Breeders Fund Novice Stakes.
Imperium gets the nap vote in the bet365 Handicap over an extended five furlongs.
The three-year-old won over this course-and-distance recently, beating Princess Kai by three-parts of a length. Previous experience of this track counts for plenty and Franny Norton's mount is taken to go in again.
