MR Vassie finds one positive feature about the EU, as he sees it at least (Letters, May 14). Indeed, there are actually several.
Sadly though, the EU is so rotten to its corrupt, expensive and undemocratic core, that I could list disadvantages running into hundreds.
Denise Craghill (Letters, same day) makes an impassioned but rather silly claim that the Greens have a chance of an EU seat locally in the coming election.
She has clearly not been doing the groundwork properly. We have.
Our research clearly indicates that the UK Independence Party is the only "forward-looking" party, other than the "usual suspects", which will take an EU seat around here.
