Kelfield provided the biggest shock of the first round of the Horwath Pulleyn-Heselton York Vale League Cup by removing division one leaders Askham Bryan YPO.
Kelfield batted first and, after a steady start, Martin Rhodes then struck 54 and Neil Atkinson smashed 72 in a total of 205-7. Askham were never in the running as wily Pete Buck took 5-10 to send the opposition all out for 25.
Ovington travelled to Burn and posted a respectable 164-5. Dave Eland just scored more than the total of extras with 39.
But Burn's Bob Adamson was in searing form smashing 109no, with 13 fours and six sixes to steer Burn to victory by ten wickets.
Westow perished to visiting high-fliers Bishopthorpe. Andy Welford (57) guided the home side to 169-6 of which Holmes produced excellent figures of 3-14 from ten overs. Colin Markham then struck a solid 35 and Danny Williams 42, but Westow were finished off by skipper David Coverdale, whose 4-26 wiped out the middle order for a 25-run triumph.
Openers Gary Slaywe and Steve Goulden got Drax off to a good start against Wheldrake, but it petered out to a total of 144-7. However, this proved adequate as Richard Ounsley (4-13) and Kelvin Brooks (4-20) bowled Wheldrake out 65 runs short of the target.
British Sugar demolished Thixendale. Gary Iqbal returned 6-28 and Wayne Bellerby 4-27 in Thixendale's 99. Simon Taylor then steered Sugar home with 39.
Tollerton Outlaws triumphed at Ben Johnson, who fell to the attack of Pete Clark and Tony Raper as each took three wickets in an all-out 52. Andy Carrick wasted no time in knocking off the runs in scoring 35no.
In the Scothern Construction Cup Acomb's Mike Aldred was an all-rounder in form against Pocklington. His 40no took Acomb to 127-8 and he followed with 4-19 as Pocklington fell for 92.
Burn had no answer to Tadcaster Magnet's Alan Johnson. His 5-13 left Burn reeling on 79-9 ahead of Mark Wilson cracking 56 to see Tadcaster home by five wickets.
Clifton Alliance took on Malton and Old Malton II and had Chris Elliott (44) to thank in reaching a modest, but decisive 128. Paul Thorpe took 3-10 from ten overs and Will Roe claimed 4-4 to skittle Malton from 92-2 to 118 all out.
In a low-scoring game at Woodhouse Grange, Drax's Brian Moss took 6-18 to limit Grange to 72-6, but it proved enough as J Henley (3-16) and L Phillips (3-7) demolished Drax six runs short.
In a high-scoring game at Thorpe Willoughby, visitors Selby just failed to bypass their hosts. Thorpe batted first and scored 186-8, Denis Powell top-scoring with 42. Steve Cruise and Gary Wright both scored 48 in Selby's 177-4.
Malton and Old Malton first teamer James Baxter produced the goods against Melbourne. His 40 runs took his side to 192-8 and he then weighed in with 5-6 to reduce Melbourne to 121 all out.
