Karminskey Park is fancied to complete an encore in the Shields Fillies' Handicap at Newcastle tomorrow.

Successful in the corresponding event 12 months ago, the Tim Etherington-trained five-year-old bids to oblige again in the hands of the in-form Robert Winston.

Three outings this season have gone some way to confirming Karminskey Park to be at least as good as she was last term. Her latest effort came at Beverley 12 days ago when she finished sixth to Artie from a poor draw in a big field.

Beaten three lengths into second-place on her previous outing at Warwick, where she lost ground at the start, Karminskey Park is overdue a change of luck.

Royal Island should make it two wins from two starts by taking the opening race, the Saltwell Signs Novice Stakes.

Mark Johnston's juvenile made a winning debut at Beverley earlier this month, skipping right away to score by eight lengths.

He looks a very useful sprinter in the making and it will take something special to deny him a second success. Keith Dalgleish again has the mount.

Johnston can complete a double with Riyadh in the Putter & Flutter Handicap over two miles.

The six-year-old finished a good third to Lucky Judge at Thirsk earlier this month and a reproduction of that form should be good enough to see him home in front tomorrow.

William Haggas had winners at Beverley and Redcar yesterday and the Newmarket handler can follow suit tomorrow. The promising Atlantic City (4.00) is fancied to do the business for him at Newcastle.

At Goodwood, Escayola should not be overlooked in the opening race, the Sunseeker Handicap.

A most progressive performer last season, Escayola, whose wins included one on this course, looks capable of continuing his rise this term. Richard Quinn has the mount.

The Peters Fairline Festival Stakes, with £30,000 in prize money, has attracted a useful field, and the pick is Parasol, trained by David Loder.

The five-year-old ran a fine race in defeat at Chester last time out when finishing second to Bandari. His powerful galloping action should ensure that he gives another bold show tomorrow.

Gonfilia should appreciate the step back up to one mile in the Excel Schroders Conqueror Stakes, another £30,000 contest and one of three races being shown live on BBC2.

Cutting Crew, an impressive winner at York last week, can defy a 5lb penalty in the Motor Boat & Yachting Handicap, while the in-form Maromito, trained at Wetherby by Robin Bastiman, can show his rivals a clean pair of heels in the Avon Inflatables Apprentice Handicap.

Wetherby's seven-race jumping card promises to prove profitable for jockey Richard Johnson.

He can land the 'Yorkshire Gent' Novices' Chase aboard Nap selection Be Fair, trained by Don Cantillon, who had a winner on the Flat at Beverley yesterday.

A useful perfomer in bumper and over hurdles, Be Fair looks a decent prospect for chasing and he is fancied to take plenty of beating after a fine recent effort over the smaller obstacles at Punchestown.

Howard Johnson has good prospects of landing the Rocom Novices' Hurdle with Giuliani, the mount of Tony Dobbin.

The four-year-old got off the mark over this course and didstance last month and looks capable of completing a double.

Trainer Tom George has his horses in good form and he can add to his tally of winners with Search And Destroy in the 'Yorkshire Dales' Handicap Chase.
