MORE than 100 students and staff from St Peter's School in York headed for East Yorkshire to take part in a 10km run in aid of York Hospital.
St Peter's School is a regular participant in the run, which took place on Sunday in Beverley.
This year was particularly special, as all proceeds raised will go to the York Haematology Unit at the hospital.
The aim of the day was to raise money in memory of the late Peter Taylor, who was head of classics and Latin at the independent York school, and who dedicated more than 25 years of his life to St Peter's.
Mr Taylor was treated at the York Haematology Unit before he died in February this year.
Earlier this month, pupils took part in a 10-mile walk at RAF Linton-on-Ouse, also in memory of Mr Taylor and to raise money for the haemotology unit.
