MANOR School continued a year of footballing highs with the under-16 boys sharing the York Schools Cup with Fulford after tying 2-2 at Bootham Crescent.
Scott Backhouse and Tom Breslin were the two names on the scoresheet for Manor, which has only about 60 boys in each year, with Graham Nicholls and Joe Foot - with a stunning strike - netting for Fulford.
Proud Manor School head of PE David Crane said: "They have had the most extraordinary time this season. They made it to the final of the North Yorkshire Schools County Cup where they narrowly lost to Harrogate Town 1-0 and this was the third time in five years they got to the cup final.
"You get one team like this about every ten years or so - they've done so well and were a great bunch of lads - and I'm sad to see them go."
Manor's girls' football team have also made their mark.
Once again they have lorded it over their rivals with a win in the Youth Games qualifying tournament at Burnholme School.
The under-13 side have already flown the flag for the city in the area finals of the national six-a-side football competition in Huddersfield earlier this year, having fended off 12 opponents to get there.
They are now aiming to prove their supremacy at a local level when they represent the city in the Youth Games Finals, run by City of York Council in association with North Riding Football Association on May 23 at Huntington and Joseph Rowntree schools.
Footballers from Huntington School are hoping 2004 will be their year when they take on Boroughbridge High School in the North Yorkshire Schools' County Cup final this evening.
This is the second year in a row the under-14s have made it to the final and they will be hoping to go one better than last year when they narrowly lost.
Teacher Nigel Curry said: "Reaching the final two years running is a tribute to the boys' commitment and the coaching of Alan Whitehead."
The game kicks off at Dunnington Sports Club at 6.30pm.
All Saints School's youngest charges are celebrating after a league and cup double in their first year of playing together.
The under-12s beat Tadcaster Grammar in both the Schools' FA Cup and League Cup finals to round off an impressive year.
Lee Fisher, Tom Corner and Joe Dale all found out what it was like to score at Bootham Crescent in the Schools Cup when they won 3-2, and a week later Corner and Dale were again on the scoresheet at the York City training ground as both were on target in a 4-1 win.
Josh Ferguson and Nick Thompson were the other two scorers in a game that had seen them go into the half-time interval a goal down.
Teacher Tony Teesdale said it was the first time the year seven age group had been victorious.
