WHAT an encouragement it was to read on the front page about Tony Davidson "going straight" (May 13). And how good to see the excellent work of anti-crime partnership PACY and its constituent agencies applauded.
PACY is a joint venture of the York Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (YACRO), Arclight and City of York Council commercial services working together not only for the benefit of ex-offenders and the homeless but for the benefit of the whole community.
The revamp of the Memorial Gardens - one of the York Pride projects backed by City of York Council and local businesses - is just one example of its achievements. Tremendous things are happening as different agencies in the city find imaginative ways of working together.
We need to celebrate such achievements and successes more often!
