TOCKWITH rounded off their debut campaign in the York Leeper Hare League with a third degree turn.
The all-conquering club followed up their division three championship and FA Junior Cup triumphs by adding the League Junior Cup to their trophy cabinet in their first season in the York Leeper Hare League.
They beat Poppleton 3-1 in the final after coming under pressure in the opening stages.
Tockwith defend resolutely and hit back to score after 20 minutes when the Poppleton goalkeeper slipped as he was about to deal with a Ben Tobin shot and the ball found the back of the net.
Poppleton continued to create, and spurn, chances and ten minutes later it was 2-0 when their 'keeper made a save but the ball rebounded to Gary Singleton who converted an easy chance.
Poppleton refused to fold and straight from the restart pressed forward but chances were missed until the 70th minute when Ben Lister set up Matt Graham whose shot found the bottom corner.
With time running out Poppleton had no alternative to press for an equaliser but were caught out at the back as Phil Darley netted Tockwith's third with ten minutes remaining.
League chairman Peter Gibson presented the trophy.
