The Hunters York Senior League Joe Lumb XI started their season with a comfortable win against Sheffield at Stamford Bridge.
The visitors batted first and never recovered from a slow start against the accurate bowling of Dan Walton and Neil Laidlaw, plus a fantastic one-handed slip catch from Jack Bolam to dismiss star man Cummings.
Spinners Alex Renton and Josh Rewcroft then took over and bowled very economically, in the wet conditions, for 30 overs.
Renton finished with 2-51 as Sheffield ended on 128-5 after their allotted 50 overs.
York's reply was very positive with Ben Hough (31) and skipper Stephen Sacks (26) laying the foundation.
Bolam's 45no took York to victory for the loss of just four wickets and with ten overs to spare.
The next Joe Lumb game is at Stillington against their Wetherby League counterparts, on Sunday, May 16, starting at 1.30pm.
