SCIENCE expert Professor Charles Stirling has been named as a speaker at this year's Engineering Inspirations event at the Yorkshire Air Museum, in Elvington.
Professor Stirling, who is an expert in molecular behaviour, will be speaking to students about science, technology, engineering and maths, at the event on July 7.
He will also be presenting awards to students who have been working on projects which will be displayed at the event.
Engineering Inspirations is organised by SETPoint North Yorkshire, part of the York and North Yorkshire Business and Education Partnership.
Ian Reed, director at the air museum, said: "We are delighted that the historic surroundings at the Yorkshire Air Museum are once again being used to host this wonderful event.
"The fact that the birth of flight and innovative engineering at its best is represented here makes the venue all the more appropriate."
